Scheduling & Pay

FOR CAREGIVERS

Scheduling & Pay

Once you’re registered and onboarded, here’s how shifts actually get assigned, what your first placement looks like, and how our pay schedule works.

TL;DR

  • Shifts are matched to your availability, location, and the client’s care needs
  • Your first placement usually starts with a short introduction alongside your scheduling coordinator
  • Pay is issued bi-weekly
  • Scheduling questions or conflicts go to your scheduling coordinator, not the client directly

How Shifts Are Assigned

When a new case comes in, our scheduling team matches it against caregiver availability, proximity to the client, and the specific type of care the client needs. That’s why keeping your availability current with our office matters. The more accurate your availability, the better we can match you with shifts that actually work for your schedule.

What to Expect From Your First Placement

1 You’ll get the case details first

Before your first shift, your scheduling coordinator will walk you through the client’s care plan, schedule, and any specific preferences or routines you should know about.

2 Your first shift may include an introduction

Many first placements start with a short introductory visit so you, the client, and their family can meet before the caregiving relationship begins in earnest.

3 Check in with your coordinator early

If anything about the placement feels off, whether it’s the commute, the hours, or the scope of care, tell your coordinator right away rather than waiting. It’s much easier to adjust a placement early than after weeks have gone by.

Pay Schedule

PrimeCare caregivers are paid on a bi-weekly basis. Hours are tracked per pay period and reflected in your paycheck according to our standard payroll schedule. If you’re ever unsure which pay period a shift falls into, or notice a discrepancy in your hours, reach out to the office directly rather than waiting for the next pay cycle to sort itself out.

  • Pay periods run bi-weekly
  • Report any hours discrepancies as soon as you notice them
  • Keep your direct deposit and contact information up to date with the office

Where to Go With Scheduling Questions

Your scheduling coordinator is your main point of contact for anything related to shifts, changes in availability, time-off requests, or placement concerns. Don’t wait on an issue. The sooner our office knows about a scheduling conflict, the more options we have to solve it.
