About Parkinson’s disease care
Everyday life can change. Home can stay familiar.
Living with Parkinson’s disease can present daily challenges that affect mobility, balance, coordination, and routine activities. As symptoms change over time, many people benefit from compassionate in-home support that helps them keep living safely and comfortably in familiar surroundings.
At PrimeCare In-Home Support, we provide personalized, non-medical Parkinson’s disease home care designed to support independence while helping with everyday tasks. Our caregivers work closely with clients and their families to create individualized care plans that adapt to changing needs. It is part of our specialized care services.
Whether your loved one needs occasional help or ongoing daily support, our caregivers are here for you.

Understanding Parkinson’s Disease care
Daily support that works alongside your medical team.
You are not alone. The Parkinson’s Foundation estimates that about 1.1 million people in the U.S. live with Parkinson’s disease, and nearly 90,000 are diagnosed each year.
What our caregivers do
Parkinson’s disease home care provides dependable, non-medical help with walking, dressing, meals, and personal hygiene, which can become harder as the condition progresses. We encourage independence whenever possible.
What stays with your medical team
We do not diagnose or treat Parkinson’s disease. The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke explains the condition and its symptoms, and your loved one’s doctors guide treatment.

Why families choose in-home care
Staying home helps routines stay steady.
Remaining at home lets many people living with Parkinson’s disease enjoy familiar surroundings while keeping daily routines and independence. Slower movement, stiffness, and changes in balance can make everyday tasks harder, so steady help close at hand makes a real difference.

For families
Everyday ways to support a loved one with Parkinson’s.
Encourage regular exercise
The Parkinson’s Foundation notes that exercise supports balance, mobility, and daily activities. Check with the doctor first about what is safe, and our caregivers can accompany walks.
Make the home safer
Balance changes raise fall risk, so clear trip hazards, improve lighting, and add grab bars. The CDC’s fall prevention tips are a good start, and our mobility assistance adds steady help.
Look after the care partner
Caregiving takes a toll. The Parkinson’s Foundation offers guidance on caring for the care partner, and our respite care gives you time to rest.
More guides for families are available in the Parkinson’s Foundation’s care partner resources.

What is Parkinson’s disease home care?
Parkinson’s disease home care is non-medical support that helps a person with Parkinson’s live safely and comfortably in their own home. It includes help with personal care, mobility and transfers, meals, medication reminders, fall prevention, companionship, and safety supervision, tailored to each person’s routine and preferences.
Is PrimeCare’s Parkinson’s care medical care?
No. PrimeCare provides non-medical care. Our caregivers help with daily living, safety, comfort, and companionship, and they work alongside your loved one’s doctors and family. Diagnosis and treatment stay with their medical team.
How does care change as Parkinson’s progresses?
Parkinson’s symptoms change over time, so the care plan is never fixed. We start with a free in-home assessment, build a personalized plan, and adjust it with your family as your loved one’s needs change.
What does Parkinson’s care include?
Services may include bathing, dressing, and grooming, toileting and incontinence assistance, mobility and transfer help, walking assistance and fall prevention, meal planning and preparation, feeding assistance when needed, medication reminders, light housekeeping and laundry, grocery shopping and errands, transportation to appointments and activities, companionship, safety supervision, and respite care for family caregivers.
How do caregivers help reduce the risk of falls?
Changes in balance can raise the risk of falls. Caregivers provide steady support during walking, transfers, and bathroom visits, encourage safe movement around the home, and watch for changes in mobility to share with your family. This can reduce many common risks, though no service can remove the risk of falling completely. See our mobility assistance page for more.
Can caregivers help with medications?
Our caregivers provide medication reminders to help keep the day on schedule. Questions about what to take and when stay with your loved one’s doctor and pharmacist.
Can Parkinson’s care be combined with other services?
Yes. Many families combine Parkinson’s care with mobility assistance, overnight care, dementia care when memory changes are also present, or 24-hour care. During the free assessment we build one plan around your loved one’s needs.
How much does Parkinson’s care cost, and how many hours can we schedule?
Cost depends on the hours needed and level of care. PrimeCare offers flexible scheduling with a 4-hour minimum shift, from a few shifts a week up to 24-hour care. See our billing page or contact our team for a personalized quote.
Who provides Parkinson’s care at PrimeCare?
