About mobility assistance
Staying mobile is part of staying independent.
Moving around freely is a big part of living independently, but age, injury, illness, or a chronic health condition can make everyday movement harder. Simple activities like getting out of bed, walking through the home, climbing stairs, or getting into a car may need extra support to be done safely.
At PrimeCare In-Home Support, we provide compassionate, non-medical mobility assistance that helps people move with greater confidence while reducing the risk of falls and injuries. Our caregivers offer steady support with everyday movement, so clients can stay active and comfortable in the place they know best, their home. It is part of our specialized care services.
Whether your loved one needs occasional help or steady daily support, we’re here to help them keep as much independence as possible.

Safe mobility matters
Limited mobility affects far more than movement.
Confidence and independence
Mobility affects confidence, independence, and the ability to take part in everyday life, from a walk around the block to a meal at the kitchen table.
Fear of falling can shrink daily life
Many people start avoiding activities they once enjoyed because they worry about getting hurt. Over time, less activity can make everyday tasks even harder. Dependable help can break that cycle and keep clients engaged in their routines.

Fall prevention
Helping reduce the risk of falls.
Falls are the leading cause of injury death for adults 65 and older. The CDC reports that falls caused over 43,000 deaths in this group in 2024, and it stresses that falls can be prevented. Having someone nearby to provide steady help during everyday activities can reduce many common risks at home.
Our caregivers help by:
- Providing support during transfers and walking
- Assisting with bathroom visits
- Helping clients safely get in and out of beds and chairs
- Encouraging safe movement throughout the home
- Observing and reporting changes in mobility to family members
- Supporting consistent daily routines that build confidence
We do not provide medical or physical therapy services. We work alongside families and health care providers by offering reliable, non-medical help with everyday mobility.

Supporting independence, not replacing it.
Mobility assistance should empower people, not limit them. Our caregivers encourage clients to stay as active and independent as their abilities allow, offering help only where it promotes safety and confidence. By supporting daily movement rather than replacing it, we help clients keep a greater sense of control over their lives.
For families
Simple ways to make mobility safer at home.
Talk to a doctor
The CDC suggests asking a doctor to evaluate fall risk and to review medicines that might cause dizziness. Its STEADI resources include brochures for older adults and families.
Make the home safer
Remove trip hazards, add grab bars near the tub and toilet, put railings on both sides of stairs, and brighten dark areas. NCOA’s home safety guide walks through each room.
Keep strength and balance up
Strength and balance exercises, such as Tai Chi, can help, and the CDC’s fall prevention tips explain more. NCOA also offers a quick Falls Free CheckUp.
